Our Management Team
Dr. J. O. Alabi - B.Sc., M.Sc., PhD (ACII, London), FIIN, FCII(London), FCIB
(Managing Director/CEO)
The Management Team is led by Dr. J. O. Alabi, a graduate of the University of Lagos, from where he obtained his B.Sc. Degree in Insurance and his Masters degree in Business Administration with specialization in Management. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London and Chartered Insurance Broker (London).
A versatile, highly skilled and experienced insurance professional, with about 33 years experience in the industry and a proven track record in the market, he has previously gained extensive professional expertise as an Underwriter responsible for General Accident and Property Insurance.
Having worked as a Broker for over 28 years, his experience in the area of policy design, rate negotiation and claims administration and processing is unparalled in both the private sector of manufacturing, service industry and public sector.
Alabi has attended many professional courses on General Insurance, Oil and Gas and Aviation locally and internationally and he is still working closely with Energy Brokers like Gallagher Global Energy with more than 150 energy insurance specialists, by virtue of being a partner of Verspieren International Group.
Mr. Egbewunmi Charles Oladapo - HND, MBA, ACIIN
(General Manager, Operations)
Mr. Egbewunmi heads the Technical Operations Unit. He is a graduate of Business Administration from Yaba College of Technology and has Masters of Business Administration degree from University of Ado-Ekiti respectively. He is a versatile man with brilliant ideas and equally an Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN).
He has over 28 years working experience that spread across General Underwritings, Claim Administrations and Marine Insurance.
Mr. Segun A. Olayina - B.Sc, ACA
(Head, Finance and Administration)
Mr. Segun Afolarin. Olayinka Heads the Finance/Admin Department of the Company. He is a graduate of Economics from Lagos State University.
A Chartered Accountant by profession and an Associate member of Institute of Chartered Economist of Nigeria., he is a vibrant professional and highly experienced.
As a finance person, he has acquired various training which include Basic Accounting in Insurance, International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS), Application of new Personal Income Tax Act (PITA), Anti-Money Laundry/ Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance.
He is saddled with the responsibility of preparing Financial Report. Also, he is the Compliance Officer who ensures that all the regulatory requirements are strictly adhered to by the company.
Mr. Kong Wei (Chinese) - Bsc
(Representative/Business Development Manager)
Mr. Kong Wei is a graduate of Regional Economic Development from South West University, in Chong Qing, China. He has over 10 Years working experience in Africa. He is currently the Representative of Jiang Tai and Business Development Manager of AFN Brokers Limited.
Mr. Kamilu I. Oladipupo - Bsc, ACIIN
(Manager –Technical)
Mr. Oladipupo obtained his B.Sc. Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in the year 2000.
Our Manager-Technical is an experienced and trained Loss Adjusters who have handled all classes of Insurance, including Marine Hull and cargo, Motor Insurance claims, General accident, Aviation and Benefit policies, among others.
With his robust background and experience in the area of claims which include sound knowledge of policy interpretation coupled with his position as a broker, he has been able to handle various claims in virtually all classes of Insurance, working with the Underwriters and appointed Adjusters to ensure that claims are concluded speedily.
Miss Ohaeri Chidinma – B.Sc., ACIIN
(Head, Northern Operations)
Miss Ohaeri Chidinma holds Bsc in Insurance from University of Uyo and also an Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN). She has experience in general underwriting, Life and claim processing.
She has attended various training programmes in all facets of general underwriting, covering Property Underwriting, Accident, Motor, Engineering courses, including Marine and Aviation, Liability Insurance underwriting and claims. She is currently the Head of Northern operations.
MR. STEPHEN O. OLA - B.Sc. CIIN (Stage 2)
(Head, Southern Operations - Portharcourt)
Mr. Stephen Ola is an Insurance practitioner with 27 years experience in the industry. He started his Insurance career in 1985 at NEM Insurance Plc as an Assistant Superintendent in General business underwriting.
In his quest for knowledge, he joined Hogg Robinson Nigeria Limited in 1992 as Assistant Manager with adequate technical exposure in the area of risk assessment, policy placement, claim negotiation and credit control aspect of the premium collection. His vast experience in Underwriters selection for risk placement, risk survey and client servicing in the manufacturing, serviceindustry including financial institutions, hospitality, construction companies and the like is unparalled.
He joined AFN Brokers Limited in 1999 and he is presently the head of the Southern Operations servicing our various clients in that zone.
